"Les Murières" is a cuvée dedicated to a place where a traditional complementary activity was practiced among winegrowers: the education of the silkworm, which requires abundant quantities of mulberry leaves.
Terroir
Stony hillsides and/or gravelly limestone soils. South East exposure.
In the vineyard
Trellising with Cordon de Royat for the grape varieties Syrah, Carignan and Marselan. Bush vine for Grenache noir. Density : 4000 vines/ha.
Vinification
“Macération pré-fermentaire à chaud” before cuvaison during 12 to 15 days with pigeage. Temperature control to manage a smouth extraction.

Advice

Tasting
Nice deep purple colour, intense aromas of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. In mouth the wine is round, well structured with fine tannins and nice freshness.
Food pairings
To be served at room temperature (16 –18 °C), with grilled meats, barbecue and other spicy food.
