Since time immemorial, the villagers of Roaix have met on the village square to share and celebrate Provencal traditions. The Roaix vineyard offers rich and robust wines, like its neighbor, Cru de Rasteau, with a touch of suppleness.
The vintage
Between heat and drought, the weather conditions have been challenging again this year. However, thanks to the remarkable resilience of our vines and the dedicated efforts of our Artisan Winegrowers and technical staff, the 2022 vintage promises to be of outstanding quality.
Terroir
Chalky-limestone, sand and marl, fresh sun exposure.
In the vineyard
Plantation density: 4000 plants per ha, 100% handpicked harvest, yield: 36 hectoliters per hectare, short gobelet and cordon pruning. Age of vines : 30 years.
Winemaking
De-stemmed harvest, traditional vinification with 2 head down and lots of pumping over, temperature-regulated vats 25-27°C, maturing in concrete vats.
