RHONÉA, as the name suggests, is the trusted choice for Rhône Valley wines. Our Artisans winegrowers & winemakers have been committed since 1925 to bring you the best from our vineyards & let you taste more than just wine, but the quality & authenticity of our terroirs.
The vintage
2023 was a year full of contrasts: warm temperatures at the end of December and beginning of January raised concerns about early budding; a return to normalcy continued until February with relatively cool weather; a persistent drought accompanied by a strong Mistral wind, followed by regular rainfall until the end of June. Thanks to constant vigilance in the vineyards, the berries were healthy and well-ripened when harvest started, promising one of the finest vintages of the past decade.
Terroir
Grapes grow on complementary soils: round pebbles on the surface, limestone and clay.
Harvest
Maual harvest at the coolest hours of the day. Cold skin maceration (10°C) to preserve the freshness and aromas of the grapes.
Ageing
10% of the final blend is fermented and aged in oak barrels for 6 months.
Winemaking
Traditional vinification under controlled temperatures.

Reviews
"4 étoiles ****
The nose rustles up exotic fruits such as mango, with pineapple, light ginger snap, has a white peach tone along with oak sweetness and grilling. The palate also shows grilling, has a greengage, white plum fruit presence, tones of herbal tea, sustains on a pretty full delivery of lime-citrus style fruit, finishes with a little neat ball of gras. It’s getting together now, gradually, the length sure, a little tight for now, carries promise, is deft in delivery. "
