Château Thézane, AOP Vacqueyras, Rouge, 2021

Presentation

Presentation
The château’s history dates back to the 1809. François Xavier Isidore Chauvet, originally from Vacqueyras and owner of the estate, was the first person to grow vines here. Construction of his maison bourgeoise there took place during the Restoration, circa 1825. Two centuries later, Château Thézane is still there, and is now owned by Colette Conil, who also runs the estate. Colette lived most of her life in Paris, very far from any vineyard. The secrets of quality at Château Thézane are expertise, tradition, rigour, and a love of viticulture.
