The wine
Wine, religion, and the papacy left a strong mark on the Rhone Valley, especially in the Comtat Venaissin. Dom Venitia pays homage to those men of the cloth, these monks who contributed so much to creating and maintaining our vineyards in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail massif in the Middle Ages. Made from selected Grenache and Syrah grapes, Dom Venitia is a blend with a powerful, generous, and forthright character. It’s rich fruitiness is the noble expression of Beaumes de Venise’s terroir.
Dom Venitia arises from sandy and light hills which give a fresh and fruity character.
In the vineyard
The grapes are harvested early for maximum freshness and to allow the fruit to express itself fully.
Cold fermentation lets the wine’s aromas come through beautifully. Ageing takes place on the lees in stainless vats.
