Mainly made with Grenache grapes, this Rasteau is a perfect expression of the appellation: spicy, fruity, with structure and balance.
Location
Located around the village, between plan and hillside, the 40-years old Grenache grapes, Syrah and Mourvèdre are south-exposed and benefit from the Mediterranean climate.
Terroir
Clay-limestone terraces covered with rolled pebbles and deep blue marls at 200/250m high.
In the vineyard
Manual harvest from the 10th Sept.
Yield: 38 hl / ha
Vinification
Destemming of the grapes. Traditional vinification in concrete vats with long maceration of 3 weeks at 27-29°C. Partial punching down to develop deep and concentrated tannins.
